Each year, Macy’s puts on the United States’ largest fireworks show. In 2015, the retailer enlisted the talents of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, The United States Air Force Band, and a Brooklyn children’s choir to record the soundtrack for this event.
Mustache was initially looped in to shoot a number of related events and produce sizzle videos. But the team saw an opportunity to create something even more engaging – a branded documentary tying all of these events together in an impactful way. The resulting short doc was directed by Mustache’s Kevin Mastman.
Brand storytelling is what Mustache is so passionate about. For so long public relations video content was just about delivering the information supported by slick shots and a sizzle jam. But Mustache is constantly striving to go beyond that approach. The evolution of web & social video has presented an opportunity for brands take consumer engagement to a new level by telling authentic stories. And well-told stories never get old.
